Shellie studied Art at the College of Charleston and recieved her B.A. with a concentration in Painting in 1991. After college she opened and operated three separate restaurants in 17 years with her chef husband, Marc Dambax -- while raising two boys and continuing to paint. Recently, Shellie has limited her role in the restaurant business to focus on her art. Shellie works in oil and mixed media and also cuts and welds steel.

Her works are collected and exhibited throughout the Southeast.
