Now a long time resident of Atlanta, Kathy grew up in New Jersey. She studied art at the University of Colorado and went on to earn her BFA at Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia. Kathy's focus on art got serious when she started painting with Marc Chatov in Atlanta. She also studied with Jim Schell, Carolyn Anderson, and Alice Williams. Influences are obvious in her use of color and the energy in her work.   Kathy has participated in numerous group and juried shows including American Women Artists in 2009 and 2011. Kathy has recieved many honors from the Portrait Society of Atlanta including a first place and members choice.
